• Lots of queries from my router

  I recently got the Wavlink AX3000 mesh router to replace my service provided router so that I can set my own preferred DNS server (running Pihole on my Rasberry Pi). Since hooking up this router I've been seeing anywhere from 6-12 DNS queries per minute to bing.com of A and AAAA type.   Https://ecologi.com/ does a subscription which allows you to donate to tree planting and carbon reduction schemes across the world. It's supposedly enough to make you carbon negative. I'd take that with a pinch of salt but it's definitely better than nothing. I think there are similar services out there but this is the one I use. Source: almost 2 years ago

• Carbon offsetting advice

  Currently the best option I have found is to pay a monthly suscription to Ecologi. This is a dead easy option, but from what I can tell they plant a relatively non-biodiverse range of species primarily localised in Africa.
