I'm still happy with Apple Notes for its integration with all of Apple Apps, easy sharing with family members, etc. I have tamed it more as an ephemeral and quick Notes App. The notes that starts there are usually transferred to a more permanent and organized Plain-Text setup[1] (currently guardian-ed by Obsidian). If I had to replace Apple Notes, I'd look at either one of these; - https://simplenote.com -... - Source: Hacker News / 21 days ago

Hey! I want to create a WYSIWYG Markdown editor similar to the one in the Bear app. I understand that this could be a challenging project. As I have very little experience with iOS/Swift (I'm an ML engineer), I just need an overview of the tools/frameworks I should consider using to build this technology. Any advice would be appreciated. Source: 6 months ago
Recently, I've figured out Bear, a minimalistic yet beautiful Markdown note-taking app through another topic here. I can not recommend it more, it does its job really well in this manner. So, I'd like to enrich my macOS experience by getting recommendations from this great community. Do you know any other macOS app that is both minimalistic and stylish? If so, please let me know. I wish I was into American fantasy sports so I could check how they build their websites and actually understand what is going on 😅 I found this website called sleeper.app which looks amazing and I think it sort of proves that it is possible to get people to switch their main platform. FYI I'm pretty sure you can use Sleeper on desktop (it works for me at least, never used the mobile app). And agreed on the LEC quiz videos and Friday games. Source: about 2 years ago
