BBC News mentions (4)

  • Why is mainstream media coverage of France so limited?
It's everywhere I get the news. If you want a deep dive, just go to France24.com or LeMonde.fr/en or even bbc.com/news. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Biden calls 'emergency' meeting after missile hits Poland
Aight so the general idea here is it's not absolutely certain that Russia shot it and they're definitely denying it. Poland's trying to keep calm to avoid having to invoke article 4 and are leaning on the side of "accident" at the moment. This is almost certainly going to be fine, but if you want to stay up to date on it go to the BBC for decently unbiased reporting. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Trader blames Brexit for soaring price of fish – but BBC edits it out
It's similar to the memory hole effect with online news sites. If you initially release an article with inaccurate or misrepresented headline and contents, then change it later on without any record of the change (something the BBC has repeatedly done on bbc.com/news) you get a difference in perception of a news event based on when someone saw/read the coverage. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Boris Johnson calls for calm after a fiery fourth night of violence in Northern Ireland
True. I visit news.sky.com and bbc.com/news front page daily and I only found about it yesterday. Source: about 3 years ago

  • Today is the final day to register for the August 8 Ohio special election that will determine whether the state’s abortion rights Constitutional Amendment in November will need 50.01% of the vote or a 60% supermajority to pass. Are you going to vote in it, and how do you see the result going?
Not completely on topic, but I wanted to share that I just wrote letters via Vote Forward (and had a letter writing party) for this election, if anyone wants to join in from not-in-Ohio! Source: 11 months ago
  • Poll: Ohio divided on ballot measure threatening abortion protections

  • We all know that voting correctly is the only way we’ll regain our reproductive and sexual freedom. I’m trying to increase voter turn out and would like some input. If you have never volunteered for a political issue or campaign, I’d love to know why. No judgement, I’m just looking for info.
Thanks for your reply. Just so you know, being a voting advocate for friends and family is an incredibly effective way to get out the vote. Every year, I contact all my peeps and make sure their registration and address are correct, and they know when, where and how to vote, so keep up the good work! If you think you'd be up to writing postcards or letters, https://votefwd.org/ and ... Source: 12 months ago

No worries, going door to door is challenging for almost everyone. Maybe a letter writing campaign? https://votefwd.org/. Source: 12 months ago
