  Maybe getting in touch with bodies publishing in the field of math (American Mathematical Society, journals) offers a trail to font designers / companies (like Linotype). Note that the name of the fonts used in a pdf equally may be displayed by some viewers like the metadata (who authored the pdf when using what kind of pdfengine) - e.g. Here for atril.   For anyone who draws, absolutely. I even use Procreate for brainstorming sometimes, because it's so much faster and more intuitive than any other app I've used.
