I switch in 2014 and never went back. The learning curve is something you need to be aware of and also the fact you need to buy other apps as well. For example I have these apps accompanying my Affinity suite: Hype4, Pixelmator and Art Text plus a free app that is a Figma alternative called Penpot. Why? I use Cozy Drive. It's open source. You can pick a folder in your pc, and it syncs it to the cloud. You can still open in offline. They have 5gb free version, which I use, because I need it only for documents and photos. Android app is good too, and you can automatically sync your photos. Source: over 2 years ago

However, it really depends on one needs and usage. For example, tags might be a more flexible way to organize the passwords than folders, I agree with that. Searching in Bitwarden is reasonably good, which makes folders or tags a lot less relevant. If you want more of a web-based file sharing solution, you can try out more professionally made open source file sharing services like Syncthing, YouTransfer, or Cozy.
