LibreWolf Reviews

  1. Absolutely amazing!

LibreWolf just makes my work easier and faster, it only needs some configuration and you're done. To be honest uBlock-Origin is the best Ad-Block in my opinion, it's the only one I can trust for privacy!

Of course, with specially tailored browsers like Tor Browser, LibreWolf, and Mullvad, you lose the flexibility of accessing it on mobile devices. So, you can choose a separate browser for your smartphone, or pick one that supports all your devices.

The 11 Best Web Browsers Not Based on Chromium
One of LibreWolf's main attractions is its staunch commitment to user privacy. It ships with a no-telemetry policy out-of-the-box, ensuring that your browsing habits stay your business. This places it a cut above many counterparts, including Firefox, which requires users to manually opt-out of telemetry and data collection.

I didn't last long with the stock keyboard before installing AnySoftKeyboard which is one of the few FOSS alternative with support for swipe typing. The experience was... OK. It felt slow and it's accuracy left a lot to be desired. I still had to be slow and pretty accurate, so it didn't really feel like much of a change from the stock experience. FlorisBoard have also introduced their own implementation but the... - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago

Cromite[0] is the best on Android, it's a privacy-oriented open source patchset on top of Chromium. Cromite has a desktop build, but it's a bit more experimental than the mobile build, so you can use Ungoogled Chromium[1] instead. Ungoogled is also a privacy-oriented open source patchset on top of Chromium. You are incorrect. Please take a look at the default preferences that they ship, as they are a large and important part of it. Literally on the front page: https://librewolf.net You're here to astroturf for Mozilla or Google, aren't you? - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago
  • F-Droid, Keyboard Libraries, and Choosing a Browser
This also prompted a change beyond my phone: I've left behind Chrome and Firefox on my Windows and Linux machines in favor of Librewolf, a privacy and security-focused Firefox fork for desktops. The experience has been painless and I wish I had just made the switch earlier. I did activate Firefox sync (which is by default disabled in Mull and Librewolf) and have had a smooth experience across my devices. So far so... - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
