I use a Mac keyboard and trackpad with my windows laptop for this, along with Magic Utilities. No affiliation, just a user. https://magicutilities.net. Source: about 2 years ago
I found out two software programs that make the battery level visible, Magic Utilities and Bluetooth Battery Monitor, but they're both paid…. Source: over 2 years ago
I use an Apple Magic Trackpad (mac at work, with https://magicutilities.net/ on Windows at home) for general use, and a Logitech G Pro X Superlight occasionally. Source: over 2 years ago
The big negative is that there is not a ton of native functionality for these things on Windows. I use a paid driver https://magicutilities.net/, which sadly costs around $14/yr. I have not found a free alternative that offers the full range of features so I just bite the bullet and pay for this. I'd imagine there are utilities for these on Linux, you'll have to dig around for that yourself though. Source: almost 3 years ago
