I have a ADC-V521IR indoor camera and it's behaving sort of weird. The camera is going to both my alarm.com (brinks) account and a local SVR. The local SVR recordings are fine and don't have any quality/lag issues. But the live streaming capability will only stream for about 2 seconds or drop to extremely low quality. I have 5 other cameras on the network and none of them are doing this. Source: 6 months ago
I have an extensive homebridge setup with ring equipment mostly. I'm looking for the best way to get away from ring and onto something else like alarm.com, something self-hosted. Source: 6 months ago
I recently purchased a DR Horton home (resell, not new construction). I performed factory resets on all of the smart home equipment, IQ panel, skybell, garage door opener. When I begin new setup, all are still linked to the previous owners "alarm.com" account and I get nowhere- similar to a locked iPhone. Source: 8 months ago

I do use the SimpliSafe security system and love it, just stay away from the cameras. I have motion, glass break, door sensors, 2 control panels and smoke alarms in my system. Source: 10 months ago
Additionally, included with the home was another box from SimpliSafe which contained a SimpliSafe indoor camera, base station, two water hazard sensors, a smart smoke detector, and two more door entry sensors. When I go try to add devices to the M.Connected app, the only products it seems I can add are August, Resideo, Brilliant, Genie, Overhead Door, Chamberlain Lift Master, or Carrier. When I tap "Other Devices"... Source: 12 months ago

2) Install an alarm system. Include door/window and glass-break sensors on all doors/windows. I'd personally roll my own since I have the skills to do so, but if you don't, I've heard really good things about https://simplisafe.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
