    > I've used https://adnauseam.io/ for years. It's great. No it isn't. It does nothing to make your data worthless. You're only giving data brokers more ammo to use against you. See my comment here: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=39043547#39044239. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
  • Escaping Surveillance Capitalism, at Scale
I've used https://adnauseam.io/ for years. It's great. First, it hides (most of) the ads making the internet more tolerable. Then it clicks on ALL of them making your profile worthless. It works in both Brave and Chrome but isn't available in the Chrome Extension Store for some... - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
  • Firefox on the Brink?
They also don't ban and lie about anti-tracking extensions like AdNausium (a data poisoning adblocker[0]). Chrome banned it from their store. TheirTube mentions (1)

  • Amazon is blocking Google’s FLoC
Probably, but it would "trash which "cohort" Google thinks I belong in"; there's really no reason to fool Google into putting you into a specific cohort as opposed to just a random/"broken" one; either way, your true cohort is obscured. Unless you were studying the impact of ads you receive based on cohort, like https://their.tube. - Source: Hacker News / about 3 years ago
