• Pfsense won't authenticate to CenturyLink network

  I'm using a Dream Machine Pro without issue. I got the PPPoE creds from the installer and the username includes the centurylink.com. I would not be shocked if tier 1 is confused. Source: about 1 year ago

  Me too. I go online to quantum.com, enter my address, and it's available. But if I go to centurylink.com it does say it's available at my address. Must be different companies. Source: over 1 year ago

• Systems Suck

  ...all of this is after 20 minutes logging in to centurylink.com on/in Chrome and Edge on a PC to allegedly use a cancel button that just gives me a phone number (and a middle finger)...the phone number I called and had 36 minutes of my life pissed away. Source: almost 2 years ago

• CenturyLink downtime

  I connect to the Helena POP (it' about 4 blocks from my house), and my local connection has been fine, as have the gateway routers out to the rest of the internet. My guess is the problem is local, or is between Missoula and Helena. If you know how to use traceroute, if you use centurylink.com as your target, you should be able to see where the slowdowns are occurring. Source: over 2 years ago

  Sorry I don't have specific advice, but I'll add a data point that I have the exact same config as you describe (CL fiber to ONT --> pfsense box (using PPPoE to connect to CL WAN) --> LAN) and I currently can access centurylink.com without issue. Source: about 3 years ago
