Successfully streamed to 800 people and simultaneosly tested their ppv feature. I like, they don't charge a commission unlike other services. in fact, you only pay by the hour for the server, and all the funds collected remain yours.

    Streaming + Pay Per View

I saw a post on LinkedIn about the Pay Per View functionality they added. So I tried it and I think it's a great way to monetize our educational content. What I find particularly appealing is that this service integrates with PayPal and doesn't take any commission on these payments. A real win.

๐Ÿ‘ Pros:    Pay per view monetization
    ๐Ÿ‘Ž Cons:    Learning curve

    Nice relay

We've used callaba as a permanent relay solution for live streaming. Streaming the video onto a machine and then being able to make that stream available for anyone on the team is a timesaver. In our case, it's an easy way of broadcasting the stream around the building without hardwiring cables to each room. And it's also available remotely.

Good advice is to attach an elastic ip, if you're on AWS. Then you can just turn it on and go.

    ๐Ÿ Competitors: Nimble Streamer
    ๐Ÿ‘ Pros:    Convenience|Reusable settings

    Not glamorous, but feature-heavy

I stream SRT to Callaba and RTMP out of it (for the most part) and so far it has been working well. I usually stick to using restreaming section, but I tried other things too. As i see it, this software gives you a bunch of building blocks that you can combine in any way that you see fit. I looove AWS, and Callaba is available there, so that's another plus for me.

    ๐Ÿ‘ Pros:    Multistream|Cloud platform

    Good for social media streaming

Were looking to replace Restream as we had some availability issues with it. Callaba works differently, you kinda have your own server, and it's always available. Multi-streaming is easy and convenient, you create your restreams once and you are ready to go. I explained to my colleagues how to use it. Now can turn the server on and start streaming, no fuss. And they only charge you for the actual usage. If you seek for something to multi-stream, this tool is okay.

    ๐Ÿ‘ Pros:    Simple to setup|Real-time availability|Cost effective

It was a good idea to try Callaba

I have done many live video streams to talk about technical aspects of our business with Callaba and OBS Studio and simul-casted to different platforms at once. There some pre-sets for social streaming, but I was also able to add some that were not present (twitter, linkedin) with RTMP links. I also recorded video clips that were later used in our project presentations. Callaba is simple and lovely.

๐Ÿ‘ Pros:    Simple yet powerful and efficient tool|Its flexible and easy to use|Good streaming speed|High quality content
    ๐Ÿ‘Ž Cons:    Learning curve

๐Ÿ‘Ž Cons:    You should to talk with their support for organized stream with the complicated settings, before.

    simplicity

We use callaba as a selfhosted streaming server solution. We like the simplicity of the app settings.

Minuses: There is no way to install on Windows without using WSL. I hope this problem will be solved in the future.

    ๐Ÿ‘ Pros:    Super simple
    ๐Ÿ‘Ž Cons:    -
