Used is the way to go for me. The site better world books usually has great deals on both used and new books, often without shipping fees. Lots of promotions are given as well (codes to apply at checkout) that can help with prices too. I still enjoy going to B&N with my family and picking out a book every now and again, as I enjoy their atmosphere, but their book selection (mostly best sellers) has never been my... - Source: Reddit / 3 months ago
Try betterworldbooks.com, if you don't mind second-hand you can get it for $5. - Source: Reddit / 4 months ago
Betterworldbooks.com and thriftbooks.com are my favorite book shopping sites (all secondhand which I actually prefer). Look for local book shops, secondhand or not. Amazon of course will also be helpful. - Source: Reddit / 5 months ago
That's ok! My local library had it - which was where I first read it - then they got rid of it, and so I bought my own copy. I bought it used from betterworldbooks.com I think - cost about £3, roughly the same in dollars, free shipping. If you look at all the used books sites - World of Books is good too - you'll find a reasonably priced copy. Hope you enjoy it! - Source: Reddit / 5 months ago
I also like to order from betterworldbooks.com . It's not the same as going to a bookstore and picking stuff out, but it's also for charity, so... - Source: Reddit / 6 months ago
Recently .. I saw someone else complaining about this few days ago .. Bookdepository is the best but you can search for some other books stores online that ship internationally .. Maybe this betterworldbooks.com or this waterstones.com , there are many, just compare the prices and find the best that suits you? - Source: Reddit / 6 months ago
Personally, I love betterworldbooks.com. They have used books, usually around the $4 price point. Also, for each book purchased, they donate a book! - Source: Reddit / 7 months ago

Check betterworldbooks.com for ridiculously low prices on used books. I always look there first when I'm on a book quest. I've put almost my entire survival/self-sufficiency library together by purchasing from them. And I like that my money goes to support literacy projects. - Source: Reddit / 7 months ago
In the States, I use betterworldbooks.com , though I don't know how this works internationally. - Source: Reddit / 8 months ago
#2 is betterworldbooks.com, the proceeds go to libraries and literacy programs around the world. They also ship to most countries and have a great selection of new and used books. They also have a Bargain Bin section with great prices and the more books you buy the bigger the discount (15 - 30% off). I spent $40 a few months ago and got 12 books. - Source: Reddit / 9 months ago
For online used books, Thriftbooks.com, betterworldbooks.com, discoverbooks.com, abebooks.com are all good and some have better deals at different times. - Source: Reddit / 9 months ago
The first great resource is discount used book websites and local thrift stores. A few of our favorites are thriftbooks.com, secondsale.com, and betterworldbooks.com, depending on the genre we're looking for. There are hundreds of other places to find cheap ($1-5) lightly used books, so building a collection doesn't have to cost too much at all. - Source: Reddit / 10 months ago
If cost is an issue try betterworldbooks.com. They offer free international shipping on used books. I am in the USA and have ordered from them dozens of times. They send an email with tracking info. They have a huge selection of used books for as little as $3.98 USD. It may take a few weeks for them to get to you but I think it is worth it. - Source: Reddit / 10 months ago
I owe all of this knowledge to a person named Th. Metzger who wrote the book "The Birth of Heroin and the Demonization of the Dope Fiend" which I highly recommend you read. You can read it for free on the internet archives website, or you can buy a physical copy from betterworldbooks.com. Oh, yeah, and FUCK BAYER!!! - Source: Reddit / 10 months ago
I buy all my online books from betterworldbooks.com and halfpricebooks.com with BWB being my preferred choice. Usually free shipping, great selection and up-front about what you're buying (I bought a very specific edition of Stephen King's Cujo last week, and got the exact book that was pictured), and they also donate books every time you buy something. And they have reward programs and always have coupons going... - Source: Reddit / 12 months ago
