YSK How to make a personal or small library

LibraryThing BetterWorldBooks
  1. A home for your books.
The second great resource is a good library management software. We chose the free, web-based librarything.com, which has a tool called Tiny Cat that can easily manage book lending. You can add books automatically with a barcode scanner or by searching the title, so it doesn't take long to make a searchable online catalog of books. And if you hoard books like us and have to keep some of your less-accessed books in boxes, cataloging books by location makes it much easier to get to a book if you need it. I've also heard of cases where several families effectively catalog all their books together and make a note of who owns what books, and they all share books freely.

  2. New & Used Books for Sale, Textbooks, Book Reviews & more - FREE SHIPPING
The first great resource is discount used book websites and local thrift stores. A few of our favorites are thriftbooks.com, secondsale.com, and betterworldbooks.com, depending on the genre we're looking for. There are hundreds of other places to find cheap ($1-5) lightly used books, so building a collection doesn't have to cost too much at all.
