  • Studio apartments? Sites to search?
We've been searching apartments.com, apartmentfinder.com and craigslist (which gets sketchy / scams). Source: 8 months ago
  • Moving to Vegas
Since you're new to the area, renting an apt would be a good first start. You probably know all the websites for searching- apartments.com, apartmentfinder.com, apartmentguide.com, rent.com, but avoid craigslist, facebook- lots of sketchy landlords. A good rule for new resident is to stick with regular apt complexes instead of small landlords; there are more protections and infrastructure for dealing with repairs,... Source: 11 months ago
  • Tips on apartment hunting?
Zillow is probably the best. apartmentfinder.com is another good one. Source: 11 months ago
  • Grad Housing - Collegetown Center ?
I'm an incoming PhD student, and I'm way behind on getting housing for the fall. I've called practically every complex within a thirty minute walk of campus, and studios and one bedrooms are pretty much all full unless you've got 3k a month for housing. I've been looking at Collegetown Center / Collegetown Plaza today, and I've been coming up emptyhanded other than apartments.com and apartmentfinder.com I sent a... Source: about 1 year ago
  • 1bedroom/1bathroom advice needed

  • Moving to San Francisco with two large dogs
If I were navigating this type of decision I'd spend some time on apartmentfinder.com and padmapper.com as well as craigslist.org to get a feel for what is going on in the market. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Pet regulations for renting in the city of Milwaukee?
Pet policies vary between landlords, a landlord renting out half a duplex has a lot more leeway with what is or isn't allowed than a large business would. apartmentfinder.com has a filter for "pet friendly", which is more open-ended than just cat/dog friendly. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Does anyone know where I can find a fuller list of apartments downtown?
Zillow.com, apartments.com, apartmentfinder.com, google maps. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Looking for a one bedroom apartment for August through December…does anyone have any suggestions?
Good idea to start now. I looked for one w/ about 30 days notice and there were 4 available out of a list I made w/ 20 possibilities that I would be ok living in, based on their pictures and sq ft. And price. I used www.apartmentfinder.com, filtering on only price and beds. Craigslist, roomster did not work out for me, lack of responses or sketchy responses. When you make a list, any that say available soon,... Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Moving to Syracuse- what are some nice cheap apartments with good amenities?
Apartments.com will be your best friend. The amount of search filter criteria, combined with the number of apartments and other types of housing it finds, is absolutely incredible. However, any one apartment's rating will vary wildly depending on which site you look at. I'd strongly recommend that once you use apartments.com to find an apartment you like, read the reviews of that place across multiple sites. ... Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Humboldt Park Affordable Apartments Moving Forward, But Neighbors Say Alderman Is Ignoring Their Pleas For A Public Meeting
Also, some search sites like apartmentfinder.com have filters for low income/section 8/etc housing, for example. But that search alone shows 1036 N. Dearborn, but also more modern buildings like Larrabee Place in Old Town, on Division. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Advice for getting an apartment out of state
I have moved across country many times for jobs. You can view floor plans online and apply online as well. I always used my offer letter from my new job as proof of income. They may ask for fees via cashiers check and you can mail those Fed EX. I know someone else who moved and never saw the place at all until they showed up. Just be sure to look at the various crime maps (crimemapping.com, spotcrime.com,... Source: about 3 years ago
