It's real, but I recommend Krita from the playstore if you want a full mobile drawing/gimp experience. https://i.imgur.com/k7QfUDA.png it's more packed with stuff, (except the basic ai tools gimp has), works by using KDE for Android, so it feels nice to use with out the Virtual Machine layer the Android GIMP app uses, also works with s-pen and supports bundles from the community to enhance the experience even further. It's community supported, so always will be free https://krita.org/en/ .
