Have had an Oasis for about 3 years, much good reading and enjoyment. Have recently migrated to the Kindle app on an Onyx Boox for the note taking ability. A Kindle is great for reading for enjoyment, but for reading for learning being able to make notes and with handwriting or dictation (I hope!) will be better. I am able to download highlights and annotations from my Kindle to my laptop with a subscription to https://readwise.io/, you can though also do the same for free with an https://obsidian.md/ plugin.
