  1. Gutenberg Books is free to use Android, and iOS app with more than 50,000 titles from classic to top hits and features all the important books ever published in history.
    Gutenberg.org and archive.org provide free epubs of public domain works. In archive.org you need to check the "always available" box on the left to get only public domain works. I find gutenberg.org has better curated epubs, as archive.org often puts out computer-generated epubs with *lots* of errors. Better off just downloading the pdf in those cases, if you have a way to read it. But archive.org has a larger database. Remember, these will only have public domain books, which generally means published before around 1927.
