1001 Albums Generator

I use this site which gives you a new album every day based off the book "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die". May not have everything in your wheelhouse, but you will be exposed to a lot of English speaking music (and some non-English speaking).

Then because I like one of these features, say Pink Matter by Frank Ocean, I go look at Frank Ocean on Spotify, and listen to his stuff as well as "similar artists" on Spotify. And you know of course, he's related (musically) to Tyler the Creator and Earl Sweatshirt (Which should be listed on his similar artists). So we'll pretend I just heard Tyler and I look him up on allmusic.com. I see that he's been featured on a Domo Genesis song, and I find that I like Domo Genesis after hearing that song and then it keeps going forever. I call it music research.

Last.fm

I also like that feature on last.fm where you can go to an artist profile and see what is similar, and on the home page when it shows artists (similar to X, Y, Z). I had a phase of going through suggestions like that and making Spotify playlists including whole discographies of those new artists I felt like I would like, then when I felt like listening to music continuing with that playlist instead of just automatically going back to my favourites. I also sometimes make lists of artists to work my way through their discographies and highlight the ones that really stood out to me.
