This is how I currently type. 60 WPM, 97% accuracy. Is it worth it to go back to learning the official technique, or are there other ways to learn to type faster, without having to relearn everything?

  1. Learn & Teach Typing, Free! Perfect for all ages & levels, K-12 and beyond.
There are obviously many ways of typing out there, and a lot of mixed information on the internet regarding what to do. The method I teach is the classic Frank McGurrin "home row" method (it's the one you see on things like Mavis Beacon, typingclub.com and typing.com as their main method), and it works very well as long as you have someone to explain the proper way to do it. A lot of people who try to train it on their own see confusing pictures that don't show the movements very well, and they get frustrated and go back to their old form or try to modify it.
