  6. Switch between application windows effortlessly — with Fast Search, a better Command-Tab, a Sidebar or even a quick gesture. Free trial available.
Contexts is an app switcher (like cmd-tab or alt-tab) but the reason I like it is because it has a search feature that does a fuzzy search on open applications so you can type a couple letters to switch instead of having to cycle through a list like normal cmd-tab. You can actually create something almost identical in hammerspoon but I like contexts.

  7. The missing package manager for macOS
    Pricing:
    • Open Source
Homebrew is the most popular package manager on MacOS. It's painfully slow compared to linux package managers but it works. Macports is an alternative and Nix works on MacOS as well. They can be used to download both terminal and GUI applications.

  8. AppCleaner is a small application which allows you to thoroughly uninstall unwanted apps. Installing an application distributes many files throughout your System using space of your Hard Drive unnecessarily.
