Godot Engine GameMaker Studio

Yeah Unreal isn't bad either, it comes with a lot right of the box to work with. Unity is great for 2D, but takes some learning since it wasn't really designed for visual scripting outside of some 3rd party or experimental plugins. I've heard good things about Godot that I know a lot of indie devs work with, I'd check that out to see if it catches your interest more: https://godotengine.org/, however looks like recently they're dropping support for visual scripting.

  2. Making top 2D games with the GameMaker: Studio game engine is easy. No code or programming required
Gamemaker is also a good option, https://gamemaker.io/en. I believe this is the engine Undertale used, and comes with visual scripting. This was the first engine I used to make games a decade ago before I knew how to program, but has progressively been getting updates since then.
