PocketBase.io

SQLite will happily handle thousands of users and even real-time connections. Maybe look into installing something like PocketBase (which uses SQLite under the hood) to get a web interface for the database as well, and maybe you'd like to use the other features like auth and file handling, up to you. (there are other solutions that are hosted for you, like Supabase which has a generous free tier, but uses PostgresSQL).
