Stuff I've been thinking about as I approach launching my SaaS project

Psono Password Manager Mattermost
  1. Secure password manager that is open source with auto form fill, random password generator and many...
In terms of keeping it opensource, not only will that allow others to see the code etc, you'll get many people contributing towards your code to help fix bugs/issues/feature requests which could be a huge help. There are many opensource projects where the front end and website are open source and then 2 version of the backend exist, a public 'free' version and a private 'paid' version which may be distributed as an executable. An example of this is psono (albeit its not a SaaS).

  2. Mattermost is an open source alternative to Slack.
    Pricing:
    • Open Source
Another way opensource but paywall projects are implemented is by publishing everything publically but then requiring licence keys that are hard to circumvent (looking at you mattermost).
