Right now the official Minecraft VR is absolutely terrible if you have java I suggest Vivecraft or MCXR. I use MCXR because of the sodium support. If you want you can try ploud os https://ploudos.com/en/ which is a free Minecraft hosting service that allows java-bedrock crossplay(check the faq). If you have your own Minecraft server already you can use the geyser and floodgate plugins https://geysermc.org/ to allow bedrock players to join, just remember to tell them they can't spam hit if it's PVP.
