    I've found that building a routine around a hobby/passion helpful, and considering the ways it could be done that would be both possible - depending on what it is, there might be something which can be done that is something close to the heart and being good at it may come naturally due to that, some examples could be campaigning or volunteering in a particular area (animals, mental health, social issues etc) and also setting realistic goals that are as small as needed has been helpful - if goals are set realistically then they're easier to achieve and that can potentially help boost confidence, whereas aiming unrealistically (at least to begin with) can reaffirm current thoughts/depressive symptoms. Some people here have found the Pomodoro technique to be helpful for certain issues relating to depression, and there is also an online timer for that here though that's not something I've tried myself.
