I can help you with that, SLB! The word used in the Masoretic text is תִּֿרְצָֽ֖ח, which literally means "murder" at Ex. 20.13. Where Jesus quotes the Heb. At Matt. 5.21, he uses the Gk. φονεύσεις, "murder", but of course, how could he not? If he didn't, he wouldn't be quoting the commandment, because that's what the commandment says, whether he's extending it or not. I don't have an NWT of any color anywhere close by, so I haven't the foggiest (nor do I even care) what it says, but of the English translations I checked (the mainline NRSV and CEB, the Evangelical NIV, ESV, and the 2020 NASB, as well as the KJV), only the KJV uses "kill." Everyone else uses "murder." Even the NKJV (a modern translation in the KJV style and source texts) uses "murder." Want me to check any other translation? Just name it; I probably have it or have access to it. You can also check biblehub.com and biblegateway.com for many translations.
