Theft -> don't store Bitwarden/email password with backup codes/TOTP on paper. Though there is a chance thief won't understand the usage of paper copy and you can change passwords/TOTPs 10. Amnesia/Death -> paper copy of password and TOTPs given to trusted person / Bitwarden emergency access function / https://deadmansswitch.net to their email.
