Purely from a data security perspective, use a cloud *sync* program, not just cloud storage. So you have local copies and a cloud copy. It will cost something, but the small yearly fee is worth the security to me. (I use sync.com personally but there are others out there that do the same thing. Just make sure you have offline copies by default with whatever scheme/service you choose.).
