So I just bought 20k in bitcoin on Bitcoin on Coinbase. How do I put it in a wallet? WTF is a wallet?

This scares me. I googled Buy bitcoin coinbase "reddit" and all I found was to use pro.coinbase.com instead of coinbase.com. I used bank withdrawl. I think it cost me $100 to buy $20k. Is debit card way worse?
