What's your unpopular opinion about chess?

I just don't think that's true. It depends on the person and what their goals are. Some people are older. Some people aren't interested in international titles. Some people are just more casual about the game. While I would agree that 1000 at any level is a pretty low bar, I\it seems to me that 1600 FIDE for someone who is older/more casual isn't a bad milestone. I do think that 2000 FIDE is obtainable by most people at most ages if they want to bad enough, but I can't speak from experience there because I'm not at that level. I mean, we were supposed be proud of Michelle Khare (I and I honeslty was) when she made 1000 on chess.com. But now your saying kind of the opposite.
