Is there an easy to deploy internet speed and uptime monitoring dashboard on an Ubuntu VM?

Something like https://www.jeffgeerling.com/blog/2021/monitor-your-internet-raspberry-pi but that can run on an Ubuntu 18.04 VM. Ideally not using Ansible and use fast.com instead of speedtest.net.

If uptime monitoring is what you are after take a look at https://nodeping.com/ I use it for various internet lines. Setup and forget. You het notified even with sms if the line is down for 5 minutes or more. Might even be cheaper than the energy costs of running own hardware...
