For those of you who have larger collections, how do you keep track of it?

Tellico Apprentice Alf's DeDRM Tools
  1. Tellico is a KDE application for organizing your collections.
I keep track of my physical books and DVDs/Blu-rays with tellico, though it's a KDE application, so it only works on *nix systems, not Windows. Also, because I buy all of my physical light novels, manga, and anime from Right Stuf, it's usually pretty trivial to see whether I've bought something before, because as long as you're signed in, and you've bought the product before, Right Stuf will indicate at the top of the product's page that you've bought it and list the order number. That doesn't always help when there are multiple versions of the same product, but it does make it far less likely that I'll accidentally buy the same item twice.

  2. Everything you ever wanted to know about DRM and ebooks, but were afraid to ask.
For e-books, I always strip off their DRM if they don't already come DRM-free, so I'm able to have them all organized in directories on my computer. As such, it's trivial to see what I have just by looking at the files on my system. I do buy most of my e-books from Kobo or JNC though, and like Right Stuf, they will indicate when you've already bought the book, so I'm unlikely to buy the same e-book twice.
