    Additionally, it's probably too late for this but in future if you want to tackle a project like this: Get involved, that doesn't mean just having ideas and giving critique, it means putting in serious hours just like the dev is. You might not be able to do everything but in a two man team you've got to take on shit you may not be the most competent at and learn what you need to just like the other guy. Build wireframes or some shit so you can discuss those and stop UX design mistakes before any time goes into designing mockups(GUI's) and definitely before hundreds of hours worth of coding have gone into developing them.
