There are also well known manufacturers that produce very well rated cameras that are not ONVIF compliant, familiar names like eufy, and wyze are not only not listed as conformant vendors, but they don't even offer ONVIF compliant products, since there's no ONVIF standard for battery powered cameras.

ONVIF membership is voluntary, I believe, and required to be included on the list of conformant vendors. There are large companies who produce conformant equipment that aren't on the "official" list from ONVIF. Such as reolink and amcrest. Both of whom are pretty big vendors in the DIY market.
