Why Slack’s free plan change is causing an exodus

  1. Mattermost is an open source alternative to Slack.
    Pricing:
    • Open Source
I haven't seen Mattermost [0] mentioned by anyone here, especially considering it's open-source and you can self-host. Admittedly, it has been a while since I've done some research on these platforms, but is there something I'm missing that makes Tulip or Rocketchat better? [0] https://mattermost.com/.

  3. Miraheze is a wiki farm (hosts wikis) for free and with no ads, it also provides custom domains...
There are other wiki farms that are good if one wants to avoid Wikia's crap. I usually recommend Miraheze [1], which is MediaWiki-based, not-for-profit and ad-free (they run on donations). [1] https://miraheze.org/.

Flarum (https://flarum.org/) is an interesting option.

Check fewer notifications, do more meaningful work. Twist is the team communication app for calmer, more organized, and more productive teamwork.
I think https://twist.com/ is the best solution between chat and forum. But they have the same pricing slack now starts using and that makes it unusable to keep knowledge.
