  • Trying Adguard DNS and I have a question.
At the bottom of this link https://adguard-dns.io/en/welcome.html, is a world map with the AdGuard servers on it. Try the public AdGuard DNS servers https://adguard-dns.io/en/public-dns.html, you want the ones under plain DNS. If they show up with small delays then report the 94.140.14.59 as being misconfigured, My current understanding is the public server number is supposed to route you to the closest/fastest... Adguard offers a similar service: https://adguard-dns.io/en/welcome.html but I have just had great experience with it when I was in the beta, also the pricing model is not as good as nextdns. Source: 12 months ago
  • Do you use an ad blocker?
If you're on Android, install Firefox + uBlock Origin to browse ad-free, Chrome doesn't support extensions on mobile, this solution doesn't work on other apps or games, for that use a DNS-based adblocker like NextDNS or Adguard DNS. (Tip: you can get rid of the Reddit, Twitter, Discord (etc) apps by using their websites under Firefox + uBO instead). Source: about 1 year ago

  • YouTube be like...
Sign up for a DNS based ad-blocker. Works on all your devices no matter where you are and also protects you from trackers and security risks. No skill required either, just copy paste an IP addess into your DNS setting on your phone/computer/TV and you're done. Set it and forget it, all for the whopping price of ~$20 a year. Most popular option is AdGaurd, but I recommend NextDNS. Source: about 1 year ago
