  • Visiting Mexico from the 8th to the 16th and this is what it looks like the whole time. Should I be worried? Is this normal weather for Mexico ?
Maybe do keep an eye on hurricane activity this week https://zoom.earth/ .. it's likely nothing, but there's been some activity developing off the coast. Source: 7 months ago
  • Windy.com: global weather website with live filters
I've been using https://zoom.earth/ but this is a nice addition. - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago
  • What's up with all the fire in Africa south of the Congo rainforest?
This image is from the website https://zoom.earth/ which gives you a real time view of the world from geostationary satellites. Thanks to heat sensors onboard, you can also toggle thermal anomaly layers which usually indicate fires. (Pro tip, there's a button on the side to toggle the heat anomaly layer). • What if this turns out to be nothing and they're diverting our attention away from something?
The wildfires starting at the same time being linked is just a bad assumption. You can look on satellite images and watch a line of thunderstorms go right over the area the fires start at. I recommend zoom.earth. Source: 11 months ago
  • NYC today
You can see the satellite view and previous few days at https://zoom.earth/. Source: 11 months ago
  • Wildfire Smoke in Northeastern US Visible on Goes East Images
You can also see the haze on Zoom Earth [1] with a hourly timelapse. There seems to be an especially large cloud of it hovering off of the East Coast of the US and Canada [1] https://zoom.earth/. - Source: Hacker News / 11 months ago
  • The Sun on my Moms way home was extremely red
There’s a website https://zoom.earth/ that shows satellite imagery of the planet. You can even backtrack days and animate it. I always check it to see where the wildfire smoke is coming from in my area. Source: 12 months ago

  • May 12th Oakland, NE tornado.
I’d say if you really enjoy watching the weather, then it’s totally worth getting, and there are plenty of videos and articles to teach you what to look out for. Another place you should try out is https://zoom.earth, it’s a website where you can switch between visuals and watch a 24 hour playback of satellite footage. You could also try the app Wunderground, it’s free and will show you Surface front which can be... Source: 12 months ago
  • My province is literally on fire. There’s ash falling from the sky and we can’t breath outside.
I’ve been following it on https://zoom.earth/. Source: 12 months ago
  • Ufo's seen from ISS ? Or what
I don't leave this up to "random viewing". I track the ISS... Check the weather conditions (zoom.earth)... And often plan my viewing/capture when I have some idea the skies will be clear over particular cities/locations worldwide. Source: 12 months ago
  • mh370?
Several years ago I found in zoom.earth what looked like an submerged airplane cockpit, in a swampy area possibly burned (due to some accident?) but every time I checked everything seemed different, I don't know when there was a tsunami, what impact that coast/swamp had, stirring, and again "something" is seen perhaps clearer than ever, Coincidentally, that photo survived because I sent it to a newspaper which... • Is there a website/interactive tool that lets you see and zoom into the history of an unfiltered satellite view of the Earth with no clouds?
So I found zoom.earth the other day, and I would like to see a tool similar to it but with maximum historical view (as far as satellites have been imaging the Earth) and if possible without clouds (can be achieved by stitching parts of multiple images that don't have clouds into one like what Google Earth already does) and also a zoomable 3D globe view like in Google Earth. • Too violent to be a dust devil, too small to be a tornado.. was in a hook eco though… Gustnado? I’m clueless. Anyway, was in a hook eco there’s that. (05/07/2023 OC)

You're welcome. zoom.earth is a cool site. You can use it to track hurricanes with real satellite images too, during hurricane season. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Is this rain in UAE due to cloud seeding?
Definitely not. Me and my colleagues are currently in eastern part of Saudi Arabia for a site project and the weather here is cloudy with occasional rains. We just came here two days ago from Abu Dhabi. You can check zoom.earth and see massive cloud masses moving from Saudi peninsula eastward to UAE. Source: over 1 year ago
