For downloading from BBC Sounds - Youtube-DLG is what you want - https://mrs0m30n3.github.io/youtube-dl-gui/. Just paste the link in and it will download it. You can also use get_iplayer if you want to dabble in the command line stuff. - Source: Reddit / about 1 month ago
If your channel is possibly at risk and you don't have backups of your content, maybe take a look at this: https://mrs0m30n3.github.io/youtube-dl-gui/. - Source: Reddit / 2 months ago
Alternatively if you don't like the command line then you could use something like youtube-dlg, which is a gui interface - https://mrs0m30n3.github.io/youtube-dl-gui/ and you just need to paste in the iPlayer link to the show and it will download the video file. - Source: Reddit / 3 months ago
I have this one. It has a GUI - it's pretty easy to use. - Source: Reddit / 4 months ago
There are a number of GUIs for youtube-dl, youtube-dlg being one of the somewhat easier to use and lightweight compared w/ some others. I stress 'somewhat easier to use' because none are child's play unless all you want to do is rip video from youtube. - Source: Reddit / 4 months ago

I am using Youtube-DLG 0.4 (http://mrs0m30n3.github.io/youtube-dl-gui). A GUI for Win32-systems to utilize Youtube-dl in the background. Now to my question, if I click "Update", will I receive the latest version of youtube-dl or do I need to update that manually? - Source: Reddit / about 1 year ago
Youtube DL. Despite the name, it's not Youtube only; point it at a video on Reddit and it'll download it for you. - Source: Reddit / about 1 year ago
