Most half-decent routers/wifi setups these days include some form of parental controls and/or device-level management. You can also use Google or Apple's family controls (https://families.google/families/ or https://www.apple.com/nz/families/ respectively). Source: 5 months ago
Set up Google Family which includes a Family Calendar; use that for all appointments. (Experienced mom tip: set up a Gmail account for your son, so you can claim his name, if possible. Add his email to the Google Family as well). Source: about 1 year ago
It's more affordable if you can coordinate a google family group. Source: about 1 year ago
Did you set up that Gmail account yourself, or is it attached to theirs? I set up my kids' email addresses so they would be able to register to play games like Minecraft, but they were under a family plan, so they are mine and I can search them if I find it necessary, including things like history. So, who set up the account? If it is one you've been using a while, as a minor, they might be able to. Not in... Source: over 1 year ago
Tried Support chat and he told me NOT to add a family member at https://families.google/families/ but to do it through the YTTV app (an option that doesn't exist). Source: over 1 year ago
So, getting NOWHERE with support...I logged back into https://families.google/families/, deleted the family member, re-added, re-accepted family invitation... Back to square 1 - can't watch anything because everything is locked as if I don't have a paid account. Source: over 1 year ago

I never advocated against educating your kids, which you and the other comment seem to imply, but having baseline control isn't hard, there are free apps made by Microsoft, Google, and Apple all have options to monitor your kid's activities, set schedules and even add money to their accounts. Both. My 11 year old daughter has an android phone and I use Google Families to manage what she can install on her phone. I have it set to an age range and I get a notification on my iPhone when she requests to install an app. You can also blacklist apps outright, set time limits and quiet hours and a few other cool things. -My mom recently upgraded to the 100GB plan. When we go into her account, we cannot find any way to share the plan. From the Google One website or app, we click "Share" and get taken to families.google.com/families. From there we can see all four members, that we're sharing Google Keep and a list of other features that we could share. There is no Google One option here. Source: about 2 years ago
"It also works for the Family subscription plan as well (where you can add and share the subscription with 5 additional members), however, you'd have to create a Family account first before all the steps mentioned (if you don't have one already, here is where you can start: families.google.com/families), invite them via email and once you receive the acceptance (ideally, from all the invitees), you can start the... I'm not exactly sure what you meant by linked accounts in Google, but any Google account added into your "family" will use a slot. You can go to the families page to manage it. Source: over 2 years ago
