  • Internet monitoring for kids
Most half-decent routers/wifi setups these days include some form of parental controls and/or device-level management. You can also use Google or Apple's family controls (https://families.google/families/ or https://www.apple.com/nz/families/ respectively). Source: 5 months ago
  • Attempting to share responsibility with my husband has backfired and our son is the victim
Set up Google Family which includes a Family Calendar; use that for all appointments. (Experienced mom tip: set up a Gmail account for your son, so you can claim his name, if possible. Add his email to the Google Family as well). Source: about 1 year ago
  • If price didn’t matter???
It's more affordable if you can coordinate a google family group. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Please explain to an idiot.
Did you set up that Gmail account yourself, or is it attached to theirs? I set up my kids' email addresses so they would be able to register to play games like Minecraft, but they were under a family plan, so they are mine and I can search them if I find it necessary, including things like history. So, who set up the account? If it is one you've been using a while, as a minor, they might be able to. Not in... Source: over 1 year ago
  • What is wrong with the family sharing option?
Tried Support chat and he told me NOT to add a family member at https://families.google/families/ but to do it through the YTTV app (an option that doesn't exist). Source: over 1 year ago
  • What is wrong with the family sharing option?
So, getting NOWHERE with support...I logged back into https://families.google/families/, deleted the family member, re-added, re-accepted family invitation... Back to square 1 - can't watch anything because everything is locked as if I don't have a paid account. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Is there a way to share purchases with the Family accounts?
If you scroll down in the link below you can see the list of sub and features you can share with your family. Https://families.google/families/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • 2022 CFB Guide to Cord Cutting
Seconded. Myself, my parents, and my sister + her husband all share one YoutubeTV plan through Google Families and it works great. What started out as me cord cutting by way of YoutubeTV turning into all of us sharing a plan and splitting the cost. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Partner sharing and folder hierarchy
For sharing storage, you can use https://families.google/families/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Mother Alleges TikTok Challenge Led to Daughter's Death, Was Recommended by Its Algorithm
I never advocated against educating your kids, which you and the other comment seem to imply, but having baseline control isn't hard, there are free apps made by Microsoft, Google, and Apple all have options to monitor your kid's activities, set schedules and even add money to their accounts. • Mother Alleges TikTok Challenge Led to Daughter's Death, Was Recommended by Its Algorithm
Both. My 11 year old daughter has an android phone and I use Google Families to manage what she can install on her phone. I have it set to an age range and I get a notification on my iPhone when she requests to install an app. You can also blacklist apps outright, set time limits and quiet hours and a few other cool things. • Can I block CNN/MSNBC/Fox/etc from Youtube TV?
Create a new Google account and add it to your Google Family . You can then change YouTube TV to use this account while she is visiting and switch it back to your main account when she leaves. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Unable to Share Google One with Family
-My mom recently upgraded to the 100GB plan. When we go into her account, we cannot find any way to share the plan. From the Google One website or app, we click "Share" and get taken to families.google.com/families. From there we can see all four members, that we're sharing Google Keep and a list of other features that we could share. There is no Google One option here. Source: about 2 years ago
  • RIP Youtube Vanced
"It also works for the Family subscription plan as well (where you can add and share the subscription with 5 additional members), however, you'd have to create a Family account first before all the steps mentioned (if you don't have one already, here is where you can start: families.google.com/families), invite them via email and once you receive the acceptance (ideally, from all the invitees), you can start the... • Can members of Youtube Family see who's in the family account (like names or emails) or only the manager?
They can all see each other through here: https://families.google.com/families. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Sharing a family group with friends. Concerned with how much info could be shared through Google Assistant and Home devices. Can't find any details online for what's shared or what Manager had access to. Any one have any info?
I'm not sure if this will work but this is a link to the family web page where the screen shot was taken. Source: about 2 years ago
  • With the 200gb Google One plan it says you can add up to 5 family members. What if I just have my own other gmail accounts, do those count as part of my 5 family member additions?
I'm not exactly sure what you meant by linked accounts in Google, but any Google account added into your "family" will use a slot. You can go to the families page to manage it. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Horrible frustration! YouTube Premium went away. Have had Google One including YouTube Premium since 2019. Still have Google One. Baffled. Support is useless.
Https://families.google.com/families shows I'm sharing a YouTube Premium family plan, but in YouTube, I lost access to Premium. It shows as Expired: Nov 1, 2021 - WT? Source: over 2 years ago
