There's always World Anvil. They have a free member tier that includes decent basic tools/features. But I just checked the site, the lowest paid tier has a few improved features and its $54/yr USD plus they have a 50% coupon for the next day or so. Source: almost 2 years ago
Always: when in doubt: change password asap and make sure to reset via the original site, not a link in your email. (worldanvil.com looks like worldanviI.com but it is not. Some fonts don't show any difference.). Source: about 2 years ago
Hi there! To create a new world, go to the global dashboard (worldanvil.com, or click the World Anvil logo on the top left), go to the "Your Worlds" tab and click the create world button on the right. Freemen, as the other commenters said, can have two separate worlds. Source: over 2 years ago
Such an engine already exists at worldanvil.com, including a discord channel for just such an enterprise. I am a lifetime Sage there, so if you end up using it, let me know. I can help you get the project together. Source: over 2 years ago
Per sources from worldanvil.com, Darandra's Thrill is a keelboat which Tirah the Shark uses for smuggling. I adjusted Darandra's Thrill to fit my campaign and turned it into a gambling riverboat. This map represents the main gambling hall where visitors descent from the main deck. Despite being a gambling hall, the room emanates calm spiritual aura and many visitors chill here, smoking from waterpipes, listening... Source: over 2 years ago
Have you taken a look at worldanvil.com ? It might help you to organise your thoughts. Source: over 2 years ago
WorldAnvil has a great free tier and you can always upgrade for more features. Nothing else that I've used really comes close to it for world building. Source: over 2 years ago
I recommened looking around worldanvil.com first, it has a lot of inspiration for different ways to present a setting. Source: almost 3 years ago
My investment was so that even if at the start I did not do this, I've taken up the mantle of chronicler for our sessions. I write what has transpired from the POV of my character every session, and I maintain our group inventory, pending/completed missions, serve as a somewhat of treasurer and keep a timeline of in-game events past and due. Today I've prepared a map of our game in worldanvil.com, with markers for... Source: about 3 years ago

Try World Anvil, they have a free account option that's useful to get started. Source: about 3 years ago
I am working on a new work of fiction that started as a fun writing experiment I did creating a small story based around a photo shoot my friend did. For a while the story and world grew in the back of my mind but I never fleshed it out more, until I discovered worldanvil.com. I wanted to use this resource and thought that this story, new as it was, could be a great test for this platform. I started building in... Source: over 3 years ago
I've mostly used World Anvil (worldanvil.com) but it's such a good writing tool that sometimes I go down rabbit holes and write too much about one thing lol. In any case in the long run tools are just tools, and nothing beats just sitting down and writing what you need to write. Source: over 3 years ago
I do have a website for the project. It's more of a teaser right now as I'm building everything. The project itself is running an ARG so I actually have multiple sites. But I'm trying to avoid having ANOTHER site to build/maintain so thats why I was hoping for a platform to manage that I didn't have to worry about, hence maybe a Twitter/Reddit combo. And good points about Google Docs. I was looking into... Source: over 3 years ago
Https://worldanvil.com does this, but it doesn't do a giant web visual. You could create it manually and link out though. Source: over 3 years ago
I'm currently using Roll20.com as a virtual table top (VTT) for my Pathfinder RPG and mostly like it, but since I know not to get too invested in any one tool, so I like to investigate other options. I'm using WorldAnvil as my knowledge repository for my campaign and the developers notes show it integrates with Foundry VTT. Yay, bonus! Source: almost 4 years ago
Https://worldanvil.com is another tool that can be useful. I find it a little daunting however. Source: about 4 years ago
