  • unlocking a dumbphone
I want to buy the Iris Flip. If I order it now; it'll reach in about 10 days. But do I have to use it for 60 days really? There's no other way? I have checked in willmyphonework.net whether it would work in my country or not but this model isn't listed since it is new in the market I guess. Any insights or tips regarding this please... • Canadian Plan for Kyocera DuraXV Extreme
Willmyphonework.net is telling me there aren't Canadian plans that will work on it at all, unless the "DuraXV+" refers to my model, in which case I have a few options but they are sparse. Does anyone have experience setting up this phone to work in Canada? Thanks! Source: 10 months ago
  • Question about carrier
Most phones usually work and there are a few websites that can help - willmyphonework.net was a great website but hasn't been updated with new models. - https://www.kimovil.com/en/frequency-checker is another one - https://www.frequencycheck.com/ this website I just found out while replying to your answer. Would suggest you go with the option - look for compatible carriers for a device! Source: 11 months ago
  • Does a phone bought in Europe work fine in the USA long-term?
Maybe, maybe not. You didn't event say which model of phone and provider you have. Look here: Https://willmyphonework.net/ Put your phone model there and the country and provider with you want to use it, then you can see what is compatible and what not. Source: 11 months ago
  • Dumb question: do I need to buy T-Mobile unlocked phone to use red pocket $2.50 plan?
Tmobile unlocked would be safest, but probably any unlocked phone will work if you check here https://willmyphonework.net/. Source: 12 months ago

  • Visiting soon! Need sim card advice!
There are rabbit holes you can go down about checking if the particular phone models will work on the frequencies used by each carrier https://willmyphonework.net/ or whether the carrier offers WiFi calling, or VoLTE. But probably not needed for the requirements of doing Google Maps or Waze navigation. Source: over 1 year ago

I've been a Motorola user for the last say... 20 years and I want to move to a Pixel 7. In the past I have used https://willmyphonework.net to check if a given phone will work in a given country but the last Pixel they mention is the Pixel XL. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Finally... My hutao phone
The biggest factor is band frequency compatibility. Android is open otherwise. You can do a simple check with websites, like this and this but phones aren't cheap, so it's always a good idea to double-check on GSM arena where it'll show you all the frequencies the phone has. It's a big hassle, but do it for Hi Tao! Do it for me who couldn't have her! :8257:. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Considering ordering the Xiaomi 12S Ultra from Alibaba, help
I had 5 Xiaomi phones to date, all from China. I flashed all 5 with the Xiaomi.eu ROM. I highly recommend doing this. You will not have issues with calls, but there could be an issue with the data bands depending where you live and what bands your provider uses. For example 800Mhz are often not part of chinese Xiaomi phones. 800MHz is often used in Germany in rural areas. https://willmyphonework.net/. Source: over 1 year ago
