Here's my two cents: if somebody can look at what makes the online-only parts of the code tick, we might be able to engineer a sort of workaround that makes Payday 3 believe that the servers are still online. An example of the kind of thing I'm talking about is Wiimmfi; the Wii's online servers were deactivated, but there exists a workaround that brings them back to life, as it were. I'm not sure if this idea... Source: 8 months ago
Heyo, ive had tons of trouble with setting up my wiimmfi on my mkwii iso, and I cant find any threads that have helped. Im running a patched iso through usbgx, (2tb hard drive in wbfs) and the core game runs fine, but the wii softlocks at the connecting to wiimmfi screen. Ive tried a bunch of different options with the private server setting, (from off, to wiimmfi, to wiimmfi.de.) ive also tried manually setting... Source: 8 months ago
If you launch MKWii from a USB loader, it's just as simple as going into the game-specific settings in the USB loader, then setting the private server to wiimmfi.de. Source: 10 months ago
The mystery gift distribution for the ds titles is not an exploit and I have no idea where that notion came from. Ds and wii fan servers are being deliberately hosted by the guys at wiimfi and, as part of that, they've enabled every past pokemon wifi event. 3ds and wii u multiplayer servers are still up so there's been no need to set up fan servers yet. If you are asking instead how to still do gen4 trading even tho nintendo shut off the servers I recommend taking a look at "https://wiimmfi.de/" they host a fake nintendo server so trading works again. Source: 12 months ago
Servers for all DS and DSi games are gone as of May 2014, but many games can use fan servers through Wiimmfi or Kaeru WFC either just by setting a custom DNS server (auto obtain DNS: NO, and set their server) in your wifi connection on the DSi, or that and then applying a patch to your game, which will mean playing it from a ROM on that green R4. For Pokemon games, use Poke Classic Network which has many of the... Source: about 1 year ago
This group does a much better job than I would. Source: about 1 year ago
There are plenty more reasons to mod it. The main reason why lot of people are modding their console right now is to backup their system memory in case of a brick. You can use homebrew to check if your Wii Us memory is bad and might brick in the future. You can also emulate most game consoles made before it, pair non-Wii U controllers to the console, play Wii games online after the Nintendo WFC service shut down... Source: about 1 year ago
Fwiw, there's no such thing as an exploit that can trick the game into magically thinking an event is live. The ds and wii fan servers are being deliberately hosted by the guys at wiimmfi and have been for years. Idk how to fix your specific issue in this case, but you can probably find more info by looking into them specifically now you know the name and stuff o7. Source: about 1 year ago
You can also still use online connections via wiimmfi. Source: about 1 year ago
First of all, it's not and has never been an exploit. The events are being actively, consciously enabled by the guys at wiimfi, who host fan-run servers for nintendo ds and wii games. So I'd check there or google them a bit to see if anything has changed recently with their dns or anything! And double-check that your wifi hotspot is unprotected or otherwise set up to allow your 3ds to connect - I'm sure you know,... Source: about 1 year ago
Yes, by using Wiimmfi. The easiest method is the DNS method, you literally just have to enter some numbers in your Wii internet settings and you're good to go. If you're looking for a better experience, I recommend downloading CTGP which is a modpack with loads of custom tracks and features, it's safe and easy to get, the majority of people who play on console use CTGP, and it comes with Wiimmfi. When the DS online servers were shut down in 2014 the communuty reverse engineered the netcode so people could still play mariokart together (see https://wiimmfi.de/). Source: about 1 year ago
Requires your NAND copy from your wii to enable it: https://wiimmfi.de/. Source: about 1 year ago
Check out wiimmfi ! There are wiimmfi tutorials on youtube, like this youtube video. Source: over 1 year ago
Https://wiimmfi.de/ is really where you should be going. You can play almost every Nintendo WFC game to its fullest without console modifications and for absolutely free with this service. Netplay for Brawl is kind of pointless when you can just play online. Source: over 1 year ago
Unfortunately the the wifi connection service for the Wii was shutdown in 2014, so you’d need to figure out how to use wiimfi and find someone else with it as well to play. Source: over 1 year ago
Check this out for more info. It doesn’t look like Mario kart DS is too active, but Mario kart Wii has 200+ people presently playing. https://wiimmfi.de. Source: over 1 year ago
You can always use https://wiimmfi.de/ to still play Wii games online. Source: over 1 year ago
On a hacked Wii you can run Wiimmfi which is a replacement for Nintendo's Wi-Fi Connection (WFC) service and I just checked and there are currently 171 players in MKW! Source: over 1 year ago
Just a note - it's not an exploit! These servers are being purposely run by some really cool dudes in order to re-enable wifi for all ds and wii games - mostly mario kart wii, but it works for any game. it's called Wiimmfi! Source: almost 2 years ago
