They also have local forums, where you can ask about vendors or venues, and read reviews. In addition, they have customizable budget lists, which are super helpful. If you haven't done this yet, go get a free registration at weddingwire.com or theknot (I prefer weddingwire). They offer a bunch of services (customized planning lists, etc) but their biggest benefit is local forums, where you can get tons of reviews (not just on venue, but all vendors).
