  • Firefox and Thunderbird with monospace fonts that support ligatures
That's not a trick question. Victor Mono does support ligatures. Source: 5 months ago
  • I had no idea that one company basically owns every font
It's not Iosevka (really, what else can come close except maybe Envy Code R), but I have recently discovered Victor Mono and think it an attractive programming font: https://rubjo.github.io/victor-mono/. - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago
  • Asynchronous Rust on Cortex-M Microcontrollers
Offtopic: The cursive italics are apparently a feature of the Victor Mono [1] font used for the full page. While it'd be amusing in Tumblr context (where cursive is used for hyperbolic emphasis), I can't fathom why one would consider it in a code context. You can change it (at least on Safari) by going into developer tools, clicking any node, and removing "Victor Mono" from --font-family [1]... - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago
  • JetBrains Mono Typeface
I use this type face on pretty much everything that involves reading or writing code. It's great! Even comes with ligatures. Victor Mono[0] is another great monospace font. [0]: https://rubjo.github.io/victor-mono/. - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago
  • FiraCode: Free monospaced font with programming ligatures
I love FiraCode! I was using it for almost half a decade before recently switching to Victor Mono. [1] The ligatures do serve a practical purpose to me anyways. I find they make parsing symbols much easier because the same symbol in different contexts looks different when it means something different. There’s a reason it’s a typography option that’s turned OFF in most editors though, I understand why people hate... - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago
  • FiraCode: Free monospaced font with programming ligatures
Used FiraCode for a while, then switched to Victor Mono [0], but found myself going back to Cascadia Code [1]. I can't seem to be able to get along with fonts that are too thin it seems. [0]: https://rubjo.github.io/victor-mono/. - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago
  • What is this font used from the everforest repo?
I don’t know about the one from your screenshot, but I use Victor Mono https://rubjo.github.io/victor-mono/. Source: 12 months ago
  • Intel One Mono Typeface
I don't use ligatures at all, but I have seen it on websites. So perhaps it's the CSS of the website that has decided to do this. I don't have any specific examples off hand, but my mental picture puts it on sites that also use this style of font: https://rubjo.github.io/victor-mono/ (although typing fi into the sandbox on the site doesn't exhibit the behavior). - Source: Hacker News / 12 months ago
  • Setup practical and appealing terminal on macOS
Nerd fonts are necessary in order to render certain glyphs (icons). Nerd font is just a patched version of a normal font to enable ability to have icons rendered correctly. I am not going to explain on how to install fonts in macOS, however my preferred method is using brew, personal I use Victor Mono font, you could install it via brew like so:. - Source: dev.to / about 1 year ago

I'll add Victor Mono to the suggestions. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Modern Mono
I’ve stuck with Victor Mono for a while now, since I like having comments in cursive. I know that’s not for everyone. I just seem to parse prose a little easier with joined up letters. https://rubjo.github.io/victor-mono/. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
  • Department of Public Affairs – BT-002
Also a big fan of Victor Mono. I've found ligatures to be quite satisfying when programming. https://rubjo.github.io/victor-mono/. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
  • Best Programming Font For NeoVim? What about Iosevka?
As a fan of cursive writings, I recommend you to checkout [Victor Mono](https://rubjo.github.io/victor-mono/) and if you like icons then use the [patched version](https://github.com/ryanoasis/nerd-fonts/tree/master/patched-fonts/VictorMono) of the font! Source: over 1 year ago
  • What're People Using for Faces/Styles for their Org Headlines?
I'm surprised by the amount of light-mode representation here. I use VictorMono for all my fonts, and I use org-modern for some extra fanciness. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Ask HN: What is your default font for coding and terminal?
Victor Mono. I went through a bunch of fonts recently looking for that right fit and Victor ended that search nicely. https://rubjo.github.io/victor-mono/. - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
