  • Seeking Pace Advice for NYC Marathon - Conflicting Predictions
According to online predictors recommended on this sub like vdoto2.com, my marathon time should be approximately 3:38 based on a half marathon time of around 1:45. However, there's another predicting website, metathon.com, that analyzes several weeks of your training data from Strava to calculate an estimated race pace. For me, it suggests a 3:50 finish time. • What’s a good Summer Mileage plan to prepare for XC?
If you are coming back from injury I suggest following Jack Daniel's protocol for building back to full training loads on pages 192-193 (Table 9.2 in the Daniel's Running Formula book) . You can get your Vdot and training paces here. Source: 10 months ago

  • Building miles for marathon training and dead legs?
Daniel’s VDot tables are far from the end all be all, but they do provide a pretty decent outline of the various training paces given an athlete’s ability at a given time. You can plug your own times in here: https://vdoto2.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • adapting training to a limited schedule
Threshold work is probably your best best. This site can you help you figure out your current "threshold pace" --> input a recent PR, or good estimate: https://vdoto2.com. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Web Run Planner
Https://vdoto2.com Best training planner I’ve ever used. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Garmin coach like marathon plan
My wife's coach uses the VDOT platform for loading workouts on her watch. They chat via SMS to align on the training plan (and scheduling around work), then the coach sends the workouts to her watch seamlessly. It's almost exactly like the Garmin coach but with the benefit of a live coach who will adjust based on training/life needs. Source: almost 2 years ago
