Affordable Pricing
Usenet.Farm offers competitive pricing plans, which makes it accessible for users who are looking for a budget-friendly option for Usenet access.
Block Plans
They offer block plans, meaning you can purchase a certain amount of data to be used at any time, without a monthly subscription. This is ideal for infrequent users.
Multiple Connections
The service provides multiple simultaneous connections, allowing for faster downloads and more flexible usage patterns.
Privacy Focused
Usenet.Farm emphasizes user privacy by offering SSL encryption for secure data transfer, which helps protect user activity from monitoring.
Independent Provider
As an independent Usenet provider, Usenet.Farm may have different article completion rates and retention times compared to resellers who rely on larger providers.
I've been using usenet for ~10 months and so far have been using newsdemon as my primary provider backed up by a block from usenet.farm. However I've been getting poor completion on ebooks for example so this morning I signed up to eweka using a deal (search r/usenet) and I can't believe how good eweka is. Source: over 1 year ago
Probably the usual suspects: eweka, newshosting, usenet.farm, blocknews, frugal. You may need more than one to achieve those speeds though, not to mention enough I/O to be able to handle it, and local network on point too. Source: almost 2 years ago
Usenet is good for older stuff if its available and for newer stuff because of the fast download speeds that can max my 1gbps fiber but its kinda of expensive and really hard to understand everything at first, you have to pay a news service I use nzbgeek.info then you need at least one usenet provider, I'm using eweka as my primary, bought a one year license for half the price and I have 1TB block in usenet.farm... A lot of people use more than 1 provider, you use 2, right, usenet.farm and astraweb. Source: over 2 years ago
Thunder Block (I know redundant but was too cheap) $3/500GB Demon Block (Same as above) $2.30/500GB Usenet.farm Block $14.63/1TB Vipernews Block $21.49/2TB Blocknews Block $10/500GB. Source: over 2 years ago
My Eweka sub runs out in a month, worth switching to Frugal? Completion rate is 98% for the last 6 months on Eweka and usenet.farm free account has used 1.4GB in 1 year. Source: over 2 years ago
I have a eweka subscription + a new usenet.farm block + a nearly gone blocknews block. Source: over 2 years ago
To help with those missing repair blocks instead of another Omicron provider. I think you can benefit from blocks on the usenet.farm or the usenetexpress backbone. I use a similar setup using a combination of these backbones along with tweaknews and have had a lot of success. Source: over 2 years ago
Did I also made another mistake with getting Usenet.farm blocks since Frugal has an usenet.farm backup server in EU? Or their direct auto has longer retention? Source: over 2 years ago
The only one I can think about is https://usenet.farm/ but then you are probably better off with this one, but then you have-to buy two of them https://www.eweka.nl/en/landing/special-usenet-deal , any way good luck to you. Source: over 2 years ago
I have now added a usenet.farm account in addition to what I have and I plan to be on the lookout for additional blocks further on (read Black Friday). Most of the data I pull is fresh so I don't get that many failures, but it does happen, especially with some of the older releases, and this is what I wish to reduce. Source: over 2 years ago
Then you can give usenet.farm a try out you can try the frist 10 gb the buy a block or 2. Source: over 2 years ago
A Google search will give you the info that you need but to save you the effort https://usenet.farm/. Source: almost 3 years ago
I see that Frugal comes with block news. How does it get usenet.farm, is that the bonus EU server? Source: almost 3 years ago
Dropped them recently as well. Atrocious speeds and too much DMCAed content. Currently using usenet.farm, eweka kept on banning me due to my dynamic IP and their support was beyond rubbish. Source: about 3 years ago
Usenet.farm but only bought two months... Fully willing to try all suggestions! I would imagine you guys know a lot more about the good providers since I've been stuck with GN... I feel like I just got divorced! (in a good way!) lol. Source: about 3 years ago
So today after reading about the subreddit, I've signed up for Eweka using the cheap deal linked in the sidebar. My usenet.farm block account still has a while to run and is paid for so I might as well leave that on for now. The question is what I do going forwards. I will probably ditch usenet.net as its not particularly cheap (its just on a rolling monthly payment currently). But what do I replace it with? Source: about 3 years ago
That's why most people will have a second block account from another backbone that might have the article (Check the provider map). If your provider is newshosting you have the same backbone as me with newsgroup.ninja, you could use usenet.farm since it's a different backbone they might have different articles. (They probably have a big discount for black friday). Source: over 3 years ago
I have a tons of space and am looking for back history so is something like Ninja going to be able to fill more obscure things than Frugal? Ninja (omnicron 4500+) and UsenetPrime (UNE 3000+) is two backbones, but from what I gather they are both DMCA. So is that where Frugal becomes crucial as it has usenet.farm NAT? Source: over 3 years ago
Got the same setup for another 12 months, still some downloads tend to fail. But only using nzbfinder/simplynzb as indexer, trying for a while to come in to dognzb or ds but still the consumer in me looks out for a good deal on either abavia backbone if not I'm going for the viper deal, also I hope usenet.farm comes with a good deal on BF. The next is, if you have DMCA provider it is better you also have NTD provider, which you already do. Newshosting DMCA and usenet.farm is NTD. Source: over 3 years ago
