  • tried installing Ubuntu using unetbootin and got an error. Not using USB or CD.
    Unetbootin never properly works for me. I recommend creating the ubuntu install medium with https://gitlab.com/bztsrc/usbimager or etcher. If youre not able to create an usb stick or cd, you can put the image on a secondary hdd aswell and just wipe it later. Source: about 3 years ago
