So I am having trouble getting pop_os to boot properly. I have a older dell laptop(Inspiron 5548) that I am trying switch from windows. I created a boot drive with https://gitlab.com/bztsrc/usbimager. After that I got to the boot menu selected the usb option. I recently found out about USBImager, which seems to work well. It's available on the AUR under the name usbimager. Install it with yay -Syu usbimager (or whatever AUR client you use instead of yay). Source: over 2 years ago
Unetbootin never properly works for me. I recommend creating the ubuntu install medium with https://gitlab.com/bztsrc/usbimager or etcher. If youre not able to create an usb stick or cd, you can put the image on a secondary hdd aswell and just wipe it later. Source: about 3 years ago
