  I kept going back and forth and the rep kept stating the amount listed on usmobile.com, and inside the app, as the current month's data usage did NOT include hotspot data, and that the hotspot data is what drove me over 100GB. Source: about 1 year ago

  Someone mentioned Verizon. I currently use them for wireless; they are not quite as bad. (Better performance, better navigation, less buggy). But the real winners here are some of the MVNOs (like US Mobile or Google Fi). Source: about 1 year ago

  I'd instead check out US Mobile, which is one of the few Verizon MVNOs (along with Visible1, Xfinity Mobile, and Spectrum Mobile) to offer premium data.   On the Verizon network this is absolutely essential, because the network is more congested than the others, and lower-priority data is throttled more aggressively.
