  • SmartPower Strip Cord Length?
I can't seem to find this information published anywhere in the specs on ui.com and I need to know if the cord is long enough to work in the place I want to put the strip. Source: 6 months ago
  • Upgraded Unifi controller from 6.2.26 to 7.2.97 and can no longer login as my user or admin user
Additionally, in Site Manager at unifi.ui.com, It has not seen my controller since it went offline to upgrade. I have also tried my credentials from ui.com and those also do not work. Source: 6 months ago
  • Pros & cons of enabling remote access
Do console or application backups to unifi account differ from local backups (to local network)? If I need to restore, is restore from local more reliable than restore from ui.com backups? Source: 6 months ago
  • Ask HN: A network device that doesn't exist?
Talking about consumers/prosumers, If I understand the problem correctly, isn't this done by the likes of most common multi-wan routers? I remember it was costly and we used Mushroom[1] Routers in late 2000s. Right now, I've three Internet (kinda bonded) with failover using a TP-Link ER606[2]. Here is a simplified picture[3] that I did on a Saturday night. My eventual upgrade that is likely to happen is to... - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago
  • G4 Doorbell with a Single Gang Box in Wall
I assume since I cannot find anything on ui.com that there is no alternative mounting option to cover a back box, but figured I'd ask here. Anyone know of any options? Source: 8 months ago
  • Meet UniFi - Hardware as a... Service!?
Break free of hardware licensing sales models with #UniFi. Learn more at ui.com. Source: 9 months ago
  • Recommendations for a Ubiquiti noob
We have few experience with the U6+-Lite, just had 5 or 6 from Earlier Access. We were never able to adopt them with the app, only with ui.com, but it's not very important. Our first results were not a lot better than the Lite, we didn't take a lot of measurements but feeling was that it's in the same league as the Lite, not Pro or LR. Source: 10 months ago
  • Why can't I see my support tickets still???
I haven't been able to see my support tickets for months. If I login to the ui.com website, go to account, and "My Support" there is a button for "My requests". If I click it I am taken to the home page, then logged out and have to login again... This is very strange and I'm curious if anyone else is having this issue? Source: 10 months ago
  • Unifi remote access on Verizon 5G Home Internet
I can't access my controller from ui.com -- that's what tipped me off that there was a problem. Sounds like this isn't normal. I just tried to disable and re-enable remote access in the console settings and I just get a message "Please check for any issues with your ISP and then submit a support ticket.". • UDM SE and external Unifi server support
Just curious. How did you get to that Gateway pro page? I can't seem to find it if I go to ui.com. Are there any other routers? Source: 11 months ago
  • Which camera setup for basic security?
Buy from the ui.com website, and I' have a handful of G5 bullet cameras outdoors and they are quite good. Source: 11 months ago
  • U6 Mesh vs U6 Pro
But it's named badly, as the other U6's like the U6-Pro, U6-LR etc. Are just as equally good (or bad) at meshing as the U6-mesh. I'd call it the U6-can or U6-mini or so. But well the marketing floks at ui.com decided to create a mess with naming it U6-mesh. Sigh. Source: 12 months ago
  • Unifi G4 Doorbell Stopped Working
I haven't been following the stock issues for the Unifi Doorbells. Obviously I need a doorbell of some sort. I want to stick with Unifi. I don't care which model I get but I won't pay above retail which limits me to ui.com stock. Any idea how frequently these come in stock? Am I going to be waiting days, weeks, months, etc? If it's a long wait, I will go get a cheap doorbell. Source: 12 months ago
  • Ubiquiti, add description to your home page
I woke up this morning to redesigned ui.com site. First of all the new product naming is really confusing, there is no way to click on a product to see details (such as features/specs./ manuals etc) and lastly it looks like a half ass unfinished job they launched as subheading still has "Add description" text. • UI Verify + Apple Watch Notifications
Thanks - what's a little more interesting is that the notification is delivered immediately to my watch if I log into the Unifi Portal via ui.com. So it seems more likely to happen when I'm on the local network and trying to direct connect. Source: 12 months ago
  • Outdoor unpowered switch
Put this PoE powered USW-Flex-Mini in the box to connect all of the ethernet. Use a PoE Injector to provide the power. You can get them from Ubiquiti a bit cheaper but also would add shipping costs. Source: 12 months ago
  • Security Cameras
I've got 8 hard-wired high rez POE cameras connected to switches and a local NVR with cloud access all from https://ui.com/ -- no issues at all except when the dish is obstructed but with the NVR recording all the camera streams locally having intermittent access has not been a big deal as we can always review the recordings and pull down clips or screenshots. • Usage
I would suggest implementing a system to monitor and control traffic. I have two things in mind that are relatively easy. One would be a full Ubiquiti Unifi system (gateway + AP). It has a very user friendly implementation of IDS/IPS (suricata) too, and is able to monitor traffic and limit the traffic too. The other is something I never used, but heard some good stories about, Firewalla, which they advertise they... Source: about 1 year ago
  • Is there a way to safely power down my UDM Pro remotely?
Hi, I did it through the ui.com GUI. Somehow, powering off the UDM SE also powered off the Pro switch. Source: about 1 year ago
  • What the fudge is "UI Desktop" for Windows???
Cannot find any mention of UI Desktop windows software on ui.com website. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Wifi 6e router upgrade
Now I use Ubiquiti Unifi hardware at Home and at Work. You can find them here! Source: about 1 year ago
