I also firmly believe that psychedelics are not for everyone and that preparation can really help make the experience safer and very healing. Psychedelic harm reduction and integration both can be really powerful tools to navigate using psychedelics while they are still illegal. There is lots of misinformation out there, but some great sources are: psychedelic.support (for finding someone to help with... Source: almost 2 years ago
I'm sorry that happened. It sounds like a horrible experience, but I'm glad you're ok. Had you ever done that much before? https://tripsafe.org/ certainly doesn't recommend doing that much at a time. Give that site a read for safe tripping tips. Source: almost 2 years ago
I highly suggest heading to tripsafe.org and learning all you can about dos and don’ts and what to expect. When I was minimally experienced, I found it to be a great resource. Source: almost 2 years ago
They sure helped me! it's never a guarantee, but if you manage your experience carefully psychedelics can absolutely be helpful for mental health. Here is the obligatory tripsafe plug if you haven't been there yet. Source: almost 2 years ago
You really don’t need a ton for micro dosing, so just start out with a small piece of a stem. Stems are less potent than caps 99% of the time, and what I like to do is make it into a tea. If you have loose-leaf that works best but if not a regular tea bag will be fine, and you put whatever piece of the mushroom you’ve decided in the tea basket or just in the mug. Then pick a bag of your favorite tea or loose leaf... Source: almost 2 years ago
Check out TripSafe.org there’s a lot of information there. The more you know, the fewer unknowns may come up during a trip and the less nervous you may be going into the experience. Source: about 2 years ago
Another aspect of harm reduction is education. If you're thinking about taking a substance, I really recommend tripsafe, rollsafe, and this interactions calculator. Check your comorbidities with certain drugs (for example, psychadelics can be extra challenging for folks with psychotic disorders) and if you're on any prescriptions, you should check drug interactions first. SSRIs and similar serotonin affecting... Source: about 2 years ago

If anyone reading this is also struggling with MDMA misuse then I'd recommend looking at Roll Safe; it's a harm reduction tool specifically about MDMA. It's sister site Trip Safe is also good if you use psychedelics as well. Source: about 2 years ago
Go to tripsafe.org and get you some test kits to make sure your stuff is safe :). Source: about 2 years ago
It depends. If you're wanting to take it slow, you can follow tripsafe.org's recommendations of 0.8g, then in two weeks 1.6g, etc. I would only do this if you are ok with nothing much happening, just getting used to how it feels and how you react to it. Source: over 2 years ago
I recommend Informing yourself before dropping acid. Check https://tripsafe.org they have a check list for your first time. Source: over 2 years ago
In the studies I have read (like Griffin et al.) nothing above 3.6g had any extra positive effect whatsoever. Trip safe has a section about how to take shrooms, explains it fairly well. Source: over 2 years ago
i've been using psilocybin on occasion for the last three years now. The first time I was 27, also terminally depressed with nothing to live for that I could see and no real friends. That fall my coworkers invited me out to a little hippie festival in the mountains. We each had about a gram via chocolate, and that night changed everything for me partly because it was a positive setting out in nature where I felt... Source: over 2 years ago
Go read up at tripsafe.org , they have suggestions for starting doses and lots of safety information. Source: over 2 years ago
This is just what I've learned from researching and asking people. Watch some videos on youtube first, doubleblinds channel is good. Check out tripsafe.org to prepare yourself and see what you'll need and if the psychedelics might conflict with any meds, drugs or conditions you have. Get familiar with what to expect by listening to others experiences. The aim I think is to reduce your fear going in to it this is... Source: over 2 years ago

Lol. https://tripsafe.org there is information out there if you’re willing to open your mind. I’m not saying frequent drug use is a good thing but some of these drugs are not as dangerous as your led on to believe. Judging by how this conversation has gone you’re probably not willing to read any of this information. Which is unfortunate. But before you’re going to judge someone for doing something maybe at least... Source: almost 3 years ago
